Our Oracy imperative began in 2018 at Bishop Young Academy, sparked by a belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to find, develop and use their voice. What started as a bold vision in one school has grown into a trust-wide mission, placing spoken language at the heart of teaching, learning and leadership.

Today, we are incredibly proud to have three recognised Oracy Centres of Excellence across our Trust, at primary and secondary level. This recognition reflects the unwavering commitment of our staff, the passion of our students and our shared understanding that Oracy is not an add-on; it is essential.

It is our mission to contribute to the wider national movement to create an Oracy Generation: young people who are not only articulate and confident but who also use their voices to shape a better future.
